Fear (The First Appearance of Monet Angelique Sabnur) By Taunika Taylor PART 1 Matt Crower slept sprawled across his desk as though he was in a drunken stupor. In this case, Matt was drunk off the chance of getting some sleep for a couple of hours before his beeper went off again. Rita came in to find Matt in dreamland adn wondered if she should wake him or let someone else handle it. She felt sorry for the poor man as he put his every waking hour into his job. Still, there was an emergancy and he was needed. "Matt?" she called to the semi-lifeless form on the desk. When he did not respond, she called louder. Matt still didn't move as though he was dead to the world. "Dr. Crower!!" Rita screamed. Matt awoke with a start and successfully landed on his swivel chair before landing face first on the floor. Papers flew and landed like feathers all over his office. "What the hell was that for?" asked Matt as he tried to get on his feet. He was not fully awake adn the world was still spinning. Reaching for his chair and missing, Matt ended up right back from where he started. "The just brought in a little girl and she's in critical condition," started Rita. "I wasn't sure if I should have wakened you or let someone else have it. She needs help right away and you were my first choice." "Great," moaned Matt. "Just great." The child was bleeding emensely and as soon as he approached her, he heard a deep growl from below. Matt looked down and nearly felt as though he was loosing his marbles. Was he acutally seeing a wolf under the operating table? "We couldn't get any closer to the child without getting past it," concluded Rita from behind him. The other doctors stood back in fear. "And I'm supposed to?" asked Matt. As ridiculous as it sounded, there was only one thing he could think of to do. "Look," said Matt to the wolf. "If I don't help her now, she'll die." The wolf looked from him to the girl. Whining softly, he licked her bleeding hand and then backed away. "Rita!" called Matt, "Get them in here now! We've got a job to do!" Matt later came out of the room with a throbing headache followed by Rita. Ben Healy stood outside pacing back and forth. "What are you doing here Ben?" groaned Matt. After a gruelling operation, he didn't feel like talking to anyone. All he wanted was some sleep. "How's th...the girl?" stuttered Ben. Matt realized that Ben was wearing a splattered uniform and his hair was in a complete disarray. "She came out of nowhere!" he cried as he fell back into one of the seats. "I couldn't stop in time!" Matt stared at him in disbelief. "You mean you hit her with the car?" he asked. "I was scared stiff," continued Ben as he and Matt sat in Matt's office. "I thought that the beast was going to tear my arm off!" The wolf had taken refuge at Matt's feet and looked up at him with cold gray eyes. Being mentioned as a beast didn't agree with him at all. "Well, what do we have here?" interrupted a voice. Standing in the doorway, was Lucas Buck. He was wearing a black silk shirt and a black pair of jeans. As usual, not a single strand of hair was out of place. "Why Ben, you look a mess," commented Lucas as he shut the door behind him. "It seems that there was an accident involving Ben," responded Matt. "Not you. Plus, don't you know how to knock?" Lucas' face turned from his usual smiling charm to cold stone. "Ben's one of my men and that makes it my business." For the full minute that Matt and Lucas locked eyes, it seemed like years. The whining of the wolf interrupted the silence. It's body started to shake and it let out a long piercing howl. "What the he..," started Lucas. At just that moment, Rita came busting in the door. "Doctor!" she cried. "The child!" The wolf shot between her legs and bolted down the hallway. Matt didn't know what to do next. Everything was getting wierder by the minute. The room was in shambles. Long deep claw marks were all over the walls and the bed was practically ripped to shreds. The broken window brought in a freezing breeze. A storm was brewing. "I know what you're thinking Harvard," said Lucas as he went over to the open window. His fingers carressed the deep grooves that marked the pane. "The claw marks evolve from one point and there is hardly any glass inside the room. My guess is that the kid did it herself." "That's impossible!" Matt started. This is the third floor! Are you trying to tell me that this kid jumped out of a third story window and walked away?" Lighting flashed and the wolf howled again. "Any other ideas Harvard?" asked Lucas. Caleb adn Boone were playing hide and seek in the backyard of Ms. Holt's boarding house and Caleb was it. "Boone?" called Caleb as he tiptoed through the bushes. He always seemed to hide in the toughest spots. It was starting to rain and Caleb didn't want to be it for the next game. "Boone?" called Caleb again. Suddenly, Caleb stepped on something that wasn't ground. He looked down to see the body of a young girl. "Ms. Holt!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. Then he took off at a dead run. "She's awake now," said Loris Holt as she came out of the room wiping her hands on her apron. "Thanks," offered Matt as he went in adn shut the door behind him. The child was sitting up in bed. Her bandages covered her head but her black braids stuck out from underneath. There was a feeling of distance in her dark eyes as she didn't look in his direction. "Tantooki," was all she said. Matt had no idea what she was talking about. "Tantooki," she called again. There was scratching and whining at the door. "I think soneone's here to see you," answered Matt as he opened the door to let the wolf in. The child's eyes brightened as the wolf trotted up to her and pushed his head under her arm. "Tantooki!" cried the child as she embraced the wolf. Matt realized that Tantooki was the wolf's name. "You are the one who saved my life," she commented with no show of emotion. Her voice was clear with no real type of accent, but the way she spoke had power to it. "Yes," replied Matt as he pulled up a chair to the bed. "Although your friend here almost had me for dinner." "He knows of my resentment towards doctors," she responded. "However, since he trusts you, so will I." The wolf moved from her side and put his chin in Matt's lap. Tantooki had really taken a fancy towards him and to show his appreciation, Matt rubbed behind his ears. "My name is Matt, and yours?" "Monet," she answered. "Monet Angelique Sabnur." There came a knock at the door. Lucas entered adn Tantooki began to growl. "It seems that Wonder Woman has awakened," he smirked. Tantooki barred his teeth until Monet gave a sharp command but his eyes stayed transfixed on Lucas. "Lay off it Lucas," said Matt. "Can't you see that she's been through enough tonight?" "It is alright Dr. Matt," said Monet. "I'll be fine." Matt didn't like the idea of the child being alone with Lucas, but he respected her wishes. Lucas spread a wide grin. "I'll be right outside if you need me," remarked Matt with concern as he shut the door. Lucas and Monet were alone with the exception of Tantooki. "What transpired at the hospital is for me to know and me only," she answered before he could even open his mouth. "Smart kid," thought Lucas. "Too smart for her own good." "My family is deceased and I am on my own." Lucas was out of question for the time being. "I warn you Mr. Buck. I know who you are and you're an ametur compared to me. Cross my path and you shall pay dearly." Something in the child's eyes changed and it would stay stay with Lucas for the rest of his life. Her voice deepened and her eyes flashed. "You can't harm me like you did Merly. Good night Sherriff." Lucas left without further adue. As he drove home, he wondered how the child know about Merly. He saw the whole scene replayed in her eyes as her neck snapped and she was lifeless in his arms. Merly couldn't harm him for the sake of Caleb, but that meant nothing for this child. She didn't seem to have any weaknesses except for that hellhound of hers. If the child was in league with Merly, then he was in for some real trouble. For the second time in his life, Lucas Buck felt fear and it wasn't going away. To Be Continued...... PART 2 "Do I have to?" whined Caleb as he sat at the kitchen table. Loris Holt stood with one hand on her hip, one hand holding a large wooden spoon, and one of those expressions that said, "Do it or else." Matt came in while straightening his tie and sat down at the table. "And what has the world's most famous cook made this moring?" he asked in a cheery voice as he gave hmself the final onceover and felt ready for a long day at the office. Tantooki came in with his bushy tail wagging and sat on the floor near Matt. "That depends if I can get Caleb to take breakfast up to Monet," she groaned and set a plate of eggs, pancakes and sausage before Matt. Loris contiued her cooking with her back turned. Tantooki stared at Matt and gave him one of those sorrowful looks and he couldn't help but give him a piece of sausage or feel guilty for the rest of the day. "Don't give that dog any table food!" remarked Loris who didn't even turn around. "You'll make him sick!" Matt and Tantooki looked at each other. "I would rather die happy, wouldn't you?" he whispered to the wolf. Loris turned from her cooking and started, "I heard that. Caleb, what are you still doing here? If you don't take that food upstairs, yours will never make it to the table!" Caleb sighed, took the plate and made his way up the stairs. Caleb felt creepy as he got closer and closer to the door. When he first met the strange child, he thought that she was dead and with the way that Lucas left last night, he wasn't sure if he wanted to go in there. The door was slightly ajar for use of Tantooki but he knocked anyway to be courteous. "Enter," she called and Caleb slid in, not knowing what to say. "Here's breakfast," he stammared as he held up the tray. She looked at him with curiousity and nodded her head. "Didn't know if you were hungry," he continued. "You must be Caleb," she said and continued to stare at him. "That's me," he answered still holding the tray. "Dr. Matt tell you?" He was trying to make a basic converstaion and get out as quickly as possible. Breakfast was waiting for him downstairs and the child was spooky from his point of view. "No," she said with no emotion. "Merlyn did." Caleb wasn't sure if he heard her right. Did he actually hear her say that his sister told her who he was? He was cautious because to only person that he knew she talked to was him. Was it a joke? Just then, Merly appeared and Caleb didn't know whether to talk. If he did and the Monet didn't really see her, then she might think of him as crazy. Merly smiled and walked towards them both. "She's telling the truth Caleb," she whispered as she sat on the bed. Monet glanced at Merly and questioned, "I still don't fully know why you need me." She was dressed in a red shirt and overalls that Matt had found for her last night. " Whatever it is, I hope it won't take long because you know that they will be looking for me." Now Caleb was really confused. How did Merly know Monet and who was chasing Monet? His brain was taking in an overload and he hadn't even went to school yet. "That can be resolved later," remarked Monet as she scratched her bandaged head. Merly wanted to object, but said nothing. "What's it like?" asked Monet. She was now looking directly at Caleb with full attention. Caleb didn't know what she was talking about. "What's what like?" "Being a kid," she answered with a small hint of sadness. "I wasn't allowed to be one." He looked at her and felt sorry for the girl. She didn't know anything about having fun or having friends. "Well I can show you," smiled Caleb and Monet smiled back. For once, she had a friend. "When I come back after school and you're feeling better, maybe Ms. Holt will let me show you around Trinity." She gave him another questioning look. "What's school?" she asked. "It's a place where you go to learn things like math, science, english and history," answered Caleb. For him, school was an okay place, but nothing ever seemed to improve his grades. Ms. Coombs was a nice teacher and Boone was his best friend. "Can I go with you?" asked Monet. Merly smiled at the both of them. Her plan was working. Loris knocked on the door and peeked in. Monet was sitting up in bed and Caleb was standing there with the tray in his hands. "Caleb," she said. "Your food's getting cold, not to mention hers." Caleb noticed that he was still holding the tray and gave it to Monet; smiling sheepishly. "Hurry up or you'll be late for school." "We're not hungry," they both said in unision. "We're going to school" Caleb headed towards the door followed by Monet. "Hold it!" started Loris. "You're still wearing bandages and can't go until Matt give you the medical okay." Monet gave Loris a nonchalant look and her eyes flashed. She felt a sharp prickin her mind. "I am fine, really," Monet remarked as she took off the bandages, dropped them in Loris' hands and hurried after Caleb. Loris continued to stand there in shock. Matt was still at the table when he saw two blurs fly past him. "Have a nice.." he started and Tantooki took off after them; leaving him all alone in the kitchen. "...day," he finished as he continuted to sip his coffee. After a couple of minutes, he noticed that Loris had not returned. Going upstairs, he found her standing in the doorway of Monet's room with the child's bandages in her outstretched hands. Her eyes had a faraway look and Matt had never seen her like this. "Loris, are you okay?" he asked with worry." "I don't know," was all she could say. Selena watched the children file in one by one into her classroom. "Kids," she thought. "It's hard to get them in, but once I let them go home, there's a stampede heading for the door." Caleb came in followed by a kid that she had never seen before. The girl looked all around the room as if she had never been in a classroom before. "Caleb," called Selena as she stood up. "Who do we have here? Would you introduce your guest?" Caleb's face turned a little red. He was never really teh social type and standing in front of the class bothered him. "This is Monet," he said. "She's new here." "Well Monet," said Selena as she figured that was all she was going to get out of Caleb. "We're welcome to have you here. If you want, there's an extra seat next to Caleb." "Thank you Ms..." she started. "....Coombs," finished Selena. The child had such an autoritave voice. Monet and Calebl took their seats and Selena continued. "I hope you all studied for you math test today." The class moaned giving the clues that noone considered studying. She passed out the tests and gave Monet a book to read for the time being. She child looked diappointed in the book after the first couple of pages, but contiued to read. Caleb was staring at his paper while Boone started chewing on his pencil. "Do you think that she will let me have a test too?" whispered Monet. The book was of no intrest to her and she was glad to have finished it. "How are you going to take a test when you ain't never been to school" Caleb whispered back with an annoyed expression. Here he was trying to at least answer one problem on the test and she was asking to take one! "Do I hear you talking Caleb?" asked Ms. Coombs. "That was on my error," responded Monet. "I was asking if I could take a test too. The book was too easy to read." Selena was surprised. Never before had she received a student who actually wanted to take a test! "I don't see why not," she answered. The test consisted of 50 math problems, but she saw that the girl didn't want to be left out. The child finished within ten minutes, turned her paper over, and waited patiently for the rest of the class. Lunch came and everyone turned in their tests and headed outside. Selena started the task of grading papers so she could give them back when the class came in from lunch. Her red pen flew as she marked wrong answers left and right. When she came upon Monet's paper, her pen stopped. There weren't any wrong answers. In fact, the child had drawn detailed expainatons why! Down at the bottom of the paper, the child had written, "The test was too easy. Do you have anything harder?" "My goodness," whispered Selena. While outside, the class sat down and ate lunch or played games. Monet followd Caleb as he made his way over to Boone. "This is Monet," he said and after a few minutes, they were having a normal conversation. Two girls were sitting not too far from the group. "Can you believe that girl?" whispered one as she ate her sandwhich. "I know," whispered the other. "She actually wanted to take that test. What a strange girl. It's even worse that she's around that Temple boy. You know, his father killed his sister. They're all crazy!" Monet stopped eating and got up. Caleb wondered where she was going. Monet didn't know anything about Trinity and could get lost. "I'm not going far," she said already guessing what he was about to ask. She went over to the two girls and said, " I you want to say something about me, say to my face and not behind my back." The girls looked surprised that she overheard their conversation. "Go away," the first one said. "You're not in our group!" Monet smiled. "Very well," she said in her usual emotionless, nonchalant voice. "However, hate is a disease and it spreads faster than any other on earth." With that, she rejoined Caleb and Boone. "Don't worry about them," said Boone. "They're just jealous. Anyway, you got us to be friends with." "Your're right Boone," agreed Monet. "I hope she has a napkin." "I don't get it," Caleb said. What did all that have to do with a napkin? Just then, the girl felt her nose running. She wiped it with the back of her hand and came up with blood. Competely hysterical, Ms. Coombs had to call her parents to come and take her home. As she left, Monet smiled back and waved goodbye. That night, Matt came in to see how Monet was doing. The hospital was quieter than usual so he came home early. Still he kept his beeper on for emergancies. "How was school?" he asked as he sat at the edge of her bed. "Tantooki was disappointed that he couldn't find you." "It was okay, she answered as they talked for a few minutes and then he turned out the light. As he made his way downstairs to talk to Loris, there was a knock on the front door. "I got it," said Loris as she reached the door before he did. Outside, there were two men in black suits and black shades. With them were a man and woman in dark blue suits. "Are you Loris Holt?" one of the men in black asked. "Yes," she answered still not know why these people were at her front door so late at night. "We are from Child Services and we are looking for a young runaway by the name of Monet Sabnur." There was growling from the top of the stairs. Tantooki stood there with Monet. His ears were laid back and he showed all of his teeth. "What's this all about!" started Matt in a defensive tone. "It's quite easy, Dr. Matt," she said with anger in her voice. They want to take me away." With that, she ran to her room and slammed her door. Thunder roared with the approaching storm. Matt went to check on Monet. He knocked on her door with no answer. He opened the door to find no one there. Matt then checked Caleb's room to find him also gone. Caleb's window was ajar letting in the rain. "Where's the kids," asked Loris from behind him. "Gone." answered Matt. Lucas was setting down to a nice steak dinner that he made himself. Just as he was about to put the first piece of juicy steak in his mouth, the doorbell rang. Lucas sighed put down his fork. Whoever was at the door better have had some really important businees to interrupt him during dinner and a steak one at that! He opened the door to find Caleb and Monet standing before him. Both were completely soaked and the rain continued to fall harder. "We need a place to stay," said Caleb and Monet sneezed. "They gonna take her away." Caleb was asleep on one couch and Monet was asleep on another. Both were wearing Lucas' old undershirts and had cough syrup before they went to sleep. The phone rang and Lucas with an "What else could go wrong," frown, answered it. "Is this Lucas Buck?" the voice asked. "Yeah," answered Lucas. How the hell are you?" "This is Child Services," continued the voice. We're looking for a child who ran away by the name of Monet Sabnur. We were wondering if she may have come by your place." "Nope," said Lucas. "Can't say that any have since I'm a bachelor and don't have any kids. Oh and if you call this late agaiin, me and you are gonna have to fight. Do you know what time it is?" "Thank you for your help and we're sorry to have bothered you," the voice said and Lucas hung up the phone. "Why didn't you turn me in?" asked Monet from the couch. For a kid she had some good ears to hear him all the way in the kitchen. Lucas walked over to the couch and kneeled to her level. "I don't really know," he answered. In truth, he really didn't. Since she knew Merly, he should have said, "Hell, she right here!" and waited for them to come and get rid of a oncoming problem. Something stopped him from saying yes and there wasn't a reason why. "Maybe it will come in time." "Maybe it will," said Monet as she glanced at Caleb. He was fast asleep on the couch. He had only known her for a day and already he was willing to hide her so they wouldn't take her away. She didn't fully know what to make of it, but she was glad he was there. "Maybe it will." To Be Continued...................... PART 3 "Is that her?" asked the man as he sat behind the wheel of a black sedan. The other man sitting next to him held up a photo of Monet in frilly type of nightgown and pigtails with the usual expression. "Sure looks like her," he answered back. Just then, the bell rang and all the children went inside. Monet headed towards the door and then looked right in their direction. "Do you think she see's us?" whispered the man. It felt to him that she knew exactly who they were. They waited until all of the children left at the end of the day to make their move. Monet and Selena were walking out together. "Are you sure that Dr. Crower won't mind about you being home so late honey?" asked Selena. She saw how he was with Caleb and she didn't really want to have a fight over this child. As strange as she was, Monet was highly intelligent and someone who wanted more than a student-teacher relationship. The child hungered for more than just academic knowledge. It was like she studied people also. "Once I explain, he wil not..." stopped Monet as she looked around. It was dark and two men in suits were walking their way. She realized that they had been waiting for her all this time! How stupid of her to return to school. Her logic told her not to, but there was something about going to school with Caleb and Boone that made her more...normal. "Selena," she said in a calm voice. "Run very fast to you car and don't ask questions." She couldn't let Selena get hurt just because of her. Selena looked at her with a puzzled expression and then noticed to two men. Caleb had told her that some people were looking for her, but this was all new to her. "Come on honey. I'm taking you with me," whispered Selena. "GO!" ordered Monet, but Selena held her ground. "I'm not leaving you." "Great," muttered Monet. I'll make sure they put that as your epitah." The first man spoke as they came closer. "Monet, if you come with us now, there won't be any trouble." How stupid were these people? Monet felt her anger boiling. It had only happened a few times before and she tried to control it and failed each time. Selena felt Monet's energy and grew scared. What had she gotten herself into? One of the men pulled out a gun and Selena gasped. It began to melt like butter in his hand and he dropped it. He began to feel hot. It started from his chest and spread all over his body. "Close your eyes," said Monet and Selena did what she was told. The man exploded. The other, seeing his companion in pieces, started to run. The job didn't pay him THAT much! He didn't get far before his ankles twisted. The man fell to the ground and tried crawling. In a second, Monet was upon him and concentrated on putting her energy towards one sorce...her hand. It glowed a strange pink and yellow and formed almost like a blade. She drove it into his mind and the man's eyes burned like fire as did his mind. His screams echoed the night. *********************** Selena slept on one of the benches as Monet sat on another. Ben was in the grilling room with the remaining man in black. "Now what in the hell were you doing at the school?" he asked for the fourth time. "A, B, C, D, E, F, G..." sang the man in a strange monotone. Ben gave up. Either the man was insane or he was very good at witholding information. He was close to taking his revolver and knocking it upside the man's head but he figured that it wouldn't do any good. Ben was sure that the man wasn't playing with a full deck. Matt raced into his office and Monet jumped at his appearance. Behind him came Lucas. "I appreciated the ride but were going home," said Matt as he took Monet's hand and headed towards the door. "Hold on Harvard," Lucas said as he held up his hand. "I got a man splattered all over the street." Monet looked at Lucas. She was tired and really wanted some sleep. "If you want to have something to tell the examiner, call it spontaneous combustion." Lucas wasn't in the mood for playing games but at least he was getting the kid to talk. "And the other guy," he continued. "He got the mind capacity of a four-year old." "Well," answered Monet. "He had that to begin with." These questions were ones she did not want to discuss at the moment; even with Lucas. "I you don't mind, I take the child into my custody," said a voice and everyone turn around. The lady that was at Loris' door was standing there. "I have papers that give full power to take the child." Monet gave her the coldest stare known to man and said not a word. "Well," said Matt. Monet moved closer to him and he held her close. "We'll let the courts decide that." **************** The testimonies of Selena, Caleb, Matt, Boone, Lucas, and Loris were fighting a lost cause. The woman's papers were legit and that meant that Monet was going to leave Trinity. Matt continued to protest and he was removed from the courtroom. The woman smiled as everyone looked beaten and forlorn. Lucas stared at the judge. He was a man in his mid-forties and was hard as a rock. "This court is a..." started the judge as he brought down the gavel. It exploded before it struck the polished surface. Everyone gasped and even Lucas was surprised. If he didn't do it then.... Monet stood up and tears welled up in her eyes. It was the first time that she had ever cried and it was painful. "I'm not leaving if it kills me." she said as she looked at the woman. Tantooki stood at her side. At first they weren't going to let him in, but Monet refused to go unless he came along. Now he stood at the side of his trusted friend and was ready to protect her at any cost. "As far back as I can remember," started Monet as she pointed a finger at the woman. "You and others, had been watching me like some lab animal and constantly put me through test and poked me needles. I was like a watch to you as prodded and had my DNA tested to see how I worked. I don't know where I came from, but I now where I'm staying. The only way I'm leaving here is if I'm dead. You can put that on your report Dr. Haven." The woman's face twisted into a tight frown. The child was going far beyond her mental programming. Their years of mind alterations and perfection took only a couple of days to go down the drain. If the child didn't make a 360 turnaround once they returned to the agency, then the project would have to be eliminated and they would have to start over again. Monet continued. "Your honor, this is my request. I wish to remain at the boarding house of Loris Holt and have my sole custody given to her so that I may stay with people who care. Either way, I'm not going with Dr. Haven." The judge was still at a loss for words. Monet's head began to hurt. Never before had her emotions taken over her. Her body felt on fire and there was only one thing she knew left to do. She ran out of the courtoom in tears and ran into Matt. Judging by her face, he knew that they had lost the case. "Dr. Matt?" she sobbed. "If I do one last trick, will you help me?" Matt didn't know what she meant, but he was willing to try anything. "Sure," he said. She handed him a computer CD in a case and he put in his coat pocket. "I have one last trick that even that heifer doesn't even know. Now you'll see who we really are." Matt stared on in surprise. Dr. Haven got up from her chair. "It's over," she said and smiled. "I'll be taking the child back with me." That was all Tantooki could take. With shap fangs and bristling fir, he took a menacing stance and started growling at Dr. Haven. Dr. Haven sneered. This was a second project gone out of control. From the features of the beast, there was no way that she was going to get out alive with it still living. She reached inside her purse for her backup plan. A shot rang out in the courtroom and Caleb started to cry. ****************** Dr. Haven was taken into custody as Matt ran into the courtroom. Caleb was holding Tantooki's head as the wolf's eyes glazed over. The blood was soaking through the boy's shirt. The courtroom was silent and Lucas strode over to Caleb. "Leave him be son," he said. "His life's already gone." Merly appeared and was oblivious to everyone but Lucas and Caleb. Lucas frowned. This was not the time for another war with the dead gal who wouldn't stay burried. Merly paid him no mind as she stroked Tantooki's head. Another light appeared next to her. It was Tantooki! "He served his purpose and it is time for him to move on," she said. Tantooki wagged his tail, barked twice and disappeared along with Merly. The judge was going to call for a postponement and was getting the evidence when he noticed that the papers of Dr. Haven were missing. Now how did that happen? Lucas smiled. On the way home, everyone was wondering what happend to Monet. Matt kept his mouth shut,(as to what he saw, it didn't take much effort) until they reached to boarding house. There was Ben holding two baby girls dressed in frilly white outfits. "Your kidding me," gasped Loris as she went up to Ben. The babies were identical except for their ID braclets: MONET and ANGELIQUE. "Oh my.." whispered Selena. Monet was the twins! "I didn't believe it either," said Matt. "I guess there were a couple of things that we didn't know about our wonderchild. Since they don't know about this little secret, she's safe with us." Lucas stood and thought. Everything was becoming stanger by the minute. At first, he had only to deal with one child. Now he had two! "I guess that I'll have to teach them all over again," laughed Selena as she took one of the twins from Ben. That gave Lucas an idea. The End.....For Now.......
